Tension & Aperture

About this study

An amber paper membrane hangs between offset rust-red steel frames. Sunlight reveals the weight and resilience of its delicate fibres. A small aperture casts a pool of light onto pink stone, turning support, sag and empty space into a spatial language.

Research into rigid supports, visual tension and viewing angle is reworked with rectangular steel frames, handmade paper and a sunken courtyard. Scale, silhouette and light are redesigned in an AI-assisted installation image.
