Circuits of an Echo
A Print Beyond the Plane
About this study
A translucent honey-coloured coil stretches across thick cotton paper, revealing smoky-violet and terracotta tide-chart lines beneath. Embossing, ink and the fine shadow of shallow relief interfere with one another, turning a familiar cable into an echo between image and object.
Transparent shallow relief over two-colour printmaking informs a new coil, fictional tide chart and raking light. The automobile profile is replaced in an independent AI-assisted relief-print experiment.
