A Room Sets Sail
Shelter & Paper Theatre
About this study
An unoccupied room folds into a small boat. Butter-yellow walls open outward and a pale-blue curtain becomes its sail. A red chair, round table and single pear remain inside as layered paper waves lift the floor. A distant island and peach reflections give domestic shelter a direction of travel.
Paper-theatre depth and fragile shelter become a folded room, curtain-sail and journey across the sea. Gouache-like washes and tempera-like texture build an independent narrative, replacing the forest, cigarettes and miniature chapel. An AI-assisted painting image.
