Chrysler is one of the world's renowned automakers, with nearly a century of brand heritage. Through successive updates, its logo has always upheld the core spirit of power, aesthetics and craftsmanship. This update aims to balance the mechanical character of traditional automotive engineering with contemporary refinement, conveying the brand promise of “precision engineering meets elegant driving.”
design concept
The logo continues Chrysler's classic early “winged badge” composition, with a central emblem flanked by outstretched metallic wings representing speed, freedom and power. At its core, the design fuses mechanical power with humanistic aesthetics, expressing the brand philosophy that “machinery is art.”
graphic language
Central emblem: retains the classic gold seal, symbolizing brand heritage and fine craftsmanship; Twin wings: symbolize speed and forward momentum, as well as the brand's drive to keep breaking boundaries; Layered lines: multiple metallic lines and reflections create a sense of streamlined power, reflecting the precision and balance of the brand's engineering.
Fonts and composition
The wordmark uses the custom sans-serif CHRYSLER Sans, with solid letterforms and sharp terminals that echo the strength of automotive lines. Generous letter spacing gives the identity a composed, modern feel with industrial precision. Black and gray tones enhance the logo's adaptability on metal surfaces, vehicle fronts and digital platforms.
color system
Primary Silver Gray #A6A6A6: metallic technology and strength; Secondary Gold #CDA349: quality, glory and heritage; Black background: heightens premium contrast and brand recognition. Together, the palette expresses a visual order of “cool power × fine craftsmanship.”
Application and extension
The winged logo is widely applied across vehicle grilles, steering wheels, keys, instrument panels and advertising systems. Its sculptural form is highly recognizable in both physical and digital spaces. Its linework can also extend independently into a supporting visual grammar for animated title sequences and brand films.
brand meaning
The wings represent “freedom and speed”; the central emblem symbolizes “quality and heritage.” Together, they form a visual language that has endured across the brand's century — a symbol of mechanical power and an extension of elegance of spirit. The logo conveys Chrysler's core values: “Beyond driving, a heart of freedom.”
Improper Usage (Protection Specification)
Do not adjust the proportions of the wings or remove the central emblem; do not change the ratio of silver gray to gold; do not add shadows, outlines or inverted gradients; minimum display width: 40 mm.
design results
The winged logo has become one of Chrysler's most recognizable brand assets worldwide. It represents the elegant power of the American automotive industry and the continuation and renewal of the brand's century-old spirit. The system establishes a unified visual standard for multilingual, multi-market communications around the world.
