01

Challenge

A dense volume, a tight schedule and a fixed budget. The report needed to maintain brand consistency across channels while balancing readability and portability. Color accuracy between proofs and the print run was critical.

02

Approach

A content-first editorial approach, supported by an expandable grid and modular components. Proofing for key pages, a spot-color strategy and a production manual developed with the printer brought consistency from first proof to final print run.

03

Results

Content, layouts and production files are organised around reading contexts. Deliverables are defined by the agreed project scope.

01

Insights

The brochure focuses on a way of living rather than individual selling points. A square format and expansive on-site photography bring out the proportions and light of each space, with a restrained visual language throughout.

02

Execution

Plan spacing and image–text relationships for the reading context, then agree proofing requirements for paper, colour and cover finishes. Production specifications follow approved project records.

Process

An 8-Step Process

From strategy to delivery, we make sure every design is ready to produce and put to use.

01

Discovery

We immerse ourselves in the project's background, target audience, and use cases, gathering and organizing content to define the brochure's core objectives and communication strategy.

02

Content Planning

We build a clear content architecture and information hierarchy, mapping chapters, page allocation, and information flow to set the narrative rhythm and reading experience.

03

Visual Concept

Drawing on the brand's tone and the nature of the content, we propose a visual direction, exploring color systems, type pairings, layout styles, and graphic language.

04

Layout Design

We establish the grid system and design guidelines, then design every page type, from cover and contents to interior spreads and back cover, to ensure visual consistency.

05

Content Production

We compose content within the design framework, color-correct and size images, refine typography, and create infographics and supporting graphics.

06

Print Specification

We select paper stocks, define printing techniques, and plan the binding. We work through technical details with the printer and prepare print-ready files, all while keeping costs in check.

07

Proofing

We produce the first round of print proofs, checking color accuracy, paper feel, and binding quality, then review them with you and fine-tune based on your feedback.

08

Production Run

We oversee mass production with ongoing quality control, spot-checking finished copies against the approved proof, and support you through final delivery.

FAQs

Eight standard steps: initial research, content planning, visual concepts, layout design, content integration, print planning, proof approval, and print production. From strategy to delivery, the process ensures designs are ready for production.

Timing depends on content readiness, length, approvals and production methods. Agree milestones for content, design, proofs and delivery after the brief is confirmed, and update the plan when inputs change.

Coordinate key-page proofs, paper and colour approval, and prepress checks with the printer. Colour tolerances and acceptance methods are agreed for each project.

Delivery includes printed copies and all design source files, with an extensible grid system, design guidelines, and print-ready files to keep future content consistent.
